By India Today News Desk: Several people suffered injuries after a bus in which they were travelling lost control and fell into a valley in the Khandala Ghat area near Lonavala in Maharashtra in the wee hours of Saturday.
The bus was travelling from Mumbai to Pune at the time of the accident.
According to the details, the accident was reported at 4:30 am on Saturday. The driver lost control of the vehicle near Shindroba Temple in the Khandala Ghat area after which it hit a side barrier and fell into the nearly 500-feet-deep valley.
Police and rescue officials reached the spot after receiving information about the accident.
Ambulances and police vehicles were seen parked on the side of the road near the spot where the accident took place.
Rescue operations were underway.
