By India Today News Desk: A manager of a transport company was battered to death by the owner and his accomplices on suspicion of theft in UP’s Shahjahanpur. Two more employees were also thrashed by them.
The deceased has been identified as Shivam Jauhari.
Four persons, including the transport company owner, were arrested by Shahjahanpur police on Thursday.
A video of a man getting thrashed while being tied to a pole went viral on Wednesday.
Shivam Johri, who worked with Suri Transport Company as manager, was beaten up after a bag of a cloth consignment went missing, said the police.

Police added that two other employees of the transport company were also beaten up for the same alleged theft. “The video of the incident has gone viral. Four people have been arrested and rest of the accused will be held soon,” IG Rakesh Singh was quoted as saying by ANI.
“We have arrested four persons – Shivam Gupta, Govind Gupta, Raghav Gupta and transport company owner Bankim Suri – for the death of Shivam Johri,” said Superintendent of Police S Anand said.
