Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot slams Sachin Pilot amid widening rift

Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has denied the charges levelled by former deputy chief minister and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot by stating that he never sought any help from Vasundhara Raje. He also said that the leader of Opposition didn’t save his government. 

In July 2020, Gehlot’s then-deputy Sachin Pilot and 18 other Congress MLAs revolted against his leadership. The month-long crisis ended after the intervention of the party’s high command. Pilot was then removed as the deputy chief minister and state Congress president.
