By Saurabh Pandey: A cucumber seller in Pilibhit nicked his customer’s right ear with his teeth after the latter asked him to lend him some cucumbers. A case has been registered against the accused, identified as Mahesh, in the matter.
An argument broke out between the duo when the victim asked him to lend him some cucumbers and told him that he would pay him later.
A case was registered after the victim’s wife lodged a complaint against Mahesh.
The victim, identified as Umakant, is an auto-rickshaw driver. The incident happened on April 25 when he was returning home at night.
According to the victim’s wife, Soni Devi, her husband met Mahesh while returning home on April 25. “My husband bought cucumbers and told him that he would pay him later. However, Mahesh refused to lend money and started arguing and using abusive language,” Soni said.
“My husband left the place and returned home, but Mahesh followed him. Mahesh entered the house and started beating him up,” she added.
Mahesh then cut off my husband’s ear with his teeth, Soni said.
The accused has been arrested by the police and sent to jail.
According to Station House Officer Achal Kumar, there was a dispute between both of them over lending money. Both of them were under the influence of alcohol when the incident happened.
