By India Today News Desk: The BJP on Saturday attacked Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal for slamming the central government over the CBI summons in the excise policy case and said he should undergo a lie detector test if he is not afraid of anything.
On Friday, Kejriwal was summoned by the CBI to appear in the excise policy case on April 16. A notice issued by the CBI said that Kejriwal will reach the headquarters at 11 am to answer some questions from the investigating team as a witness in the case, according to officials.

BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that Kejriwal was “trembling with fear” after the CBI summoned him and said it was time for showing accountability and not rhetoric.
Highlighting the past remarks of Kejriwal attacking politicians from different parties over corruption, Bhatia said the Delhi Chief Minister should get himself a lie detector test done to make things clear.
He said that former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is behind bars in the “liquor scam” and claimed that Kejriwal was the “kingpin” in the case.
Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in February in connection with the case.

The BJP leader questioned Kejriwal as to whether he was not accountable for what happened during the Delhi Cabinet meeting on February 21, where the “scam was allegedly hatched”.
He also questioned the AAP supremo regarding his alleged conversation with an accused on FaceTime.
Kejriwal is frightened and trembling in fear as handcuffs are approaching him, Bhatia said.
He asserted that the Centre has a “zero tolerance” for corruption and said the investigating agencies have a free hand to probe corruption cases.
“We have asked Kejriwal five questions, and I dare him to answer even one of them. He will beat around the bush and evade these questions,” the BJP leader said.
“The session court rejected Sisodia’s bail stating he called the then excise commissioner to grant L1 to Indospirit’s Sameer Mahendroo. Why would a minister compel an excise commissioner to give L1 to a particular person/entity?” Bhatia asked.
KEJRIWAL TARGETS ED, CBI & CENTRE OVER CBI SUMMONS
Hitting out at the CBI and ED, Kejriwal on Saturday said there was no liquor policy scam. He said the probe agencies lied in their affidavit and Sisodia was falsely accused in the case.
Kejriwal said the ED and CBI misled the court and lied under oath to frame Sisodia. He added that appropriate cases will be filed against the two agencies for “perjury and producing false evidence”. Sisodia was arrested by the CBI in February in connection with the case.
Training his guns at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Kejriwal said, “Modi Ji, if Kejriwal is corrupt, no one is honest.” He said former Jammu and Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik alleged that some chief ministers under PM Modi are corrupt.

“But the chief minister doesn’t keep the money to themselves. They send it to the higher authorities. From there, the money gets invested into the companies of their friends,” said Kejriwal, citing Malik.
“For someone who is so corrupted, corruption is not an issue. So why are they after the AAP?” Kejriwal questioned while attacking PM Modi. The AAP supremo said that “no party has been targeted like this in 75 years as much as his party has been”.
AAP has called the summons for Kejriwal a “conspiracy” and said the central government is exerting pressure after it got a national party status. Party leader and Delhi minister Atishi called the summons “BJP’s formula to eliminate its opponents”.
