Use locks from Aligarh to lock those up who think of amending Constitution: Akhilesh Yadav

[ad_1]

By Siraj Qureshi: During the campaign for the mayoral seat in Aligarh, Samajwadi Party (SP) supremo Akhilesh Yadav said anyone who thinks about amending Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Constitution should be “locked in the locks made in Aligarh”.

Aiming to win on Kanpur, Meerut, and Aligarh mayoral seats, Akhilesh Yadav energised his party’s campaign for the second phase of urban local body polls the campaigning for which ended on Tuesday.

He addressed public meetings and held roadshows for the party’s mayoral candidate Vandana Bajpai in Kanpur. He also campaigned for the party’s Meerut mayoral candidate Seema Pradhan and party candidate from Aligarh, Haji Zamirullah Khan.

In Aligarh, while speaking to India Today, Akhilesh Yadav said the BJP’s lack of education and manners is reflected in their words and speeches.

Taking a jibe at the BJP, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister said that only the public will teach the BJP where to put the lock.

Akhilesh Yadav said, “The BJP loves to instill animosity, vandalism, and bad language among the people, whereas the Samajwadi Party always preaches brotherhood and communal peace and works to bring people together.”

Akhilesh Yadav told India Today that people who have received education from Aligarh are bringing laurels to India not only in the country but also abroad, but the central and state governments are neglecting Agra and Aligarh districts and depriving them of facilities.
