Now, an audio clip has surfaced in which a man, purportedly Atiq Ahmed, can be heard threatening a politician from Mumbai and demanding Rs 10 crores from him.
The audio clip is believed to be a year old when Atiq was lodged in Sabarmati Jail in Ahmedabad. When he was in prison, he called a politician named Asif and asked him to pay Rs 10 crore. The don abused the politician and said if he did not give the money to him, he would break his arms and legs.
In the video, Atiq can be heard saying over the phone to Asif, “I am Atiq. Where are you? In Allahabad (now Prayagraj)?”
