Woman killed, several injured as bus carrying marriage party falls into ditch in Maharashtra

A 50-year-old woman was killed and several others were injured after a bus carrying weddding guests (Baraatis) fell into a ditch in Maharashtra’s Chandrapur district on Friday night.

24 people were injured among them six are in critical condition.

The deceased has been identified Sundha Haridas Madhavi while the injured have been taken to the district hospital for treatment.

The bus carrying 60 wedding guests was returning from Nandgaon to Rajura when the driver lost control of the vehicle near a village in Ballarpur and it fell into the ditch.

Villagers rushed to the scene and informed the police.
