Harman Baweja’s acting career was marked by a promising start but unfortunately, it proved to be short-lived. He made his debut with the film Love Story 2050 in 2008, which performed poorly at the box office. Reflecting on his acting career, Harman Baweja asserted that he was disheartened with whatever was being reported about him in the media and thought it was “unfair”.

He also claimed that the media attacked him personally instead of sticking to his professional life. Harman candidly recalled the times when he prevented newspapers from reaching his home, ensuring that his mother remained shielded from the negative media coverage surrounding him.

During an interview with Mid-Day, Baweja said, “I feel that the media was absolutely unfair to me. When I had done my first few films, a barrage of harsh and mean things was written (about me). It’s part and parcel of the business, but it hurts when it gets too personal. There were times when I’d make sure that the papers didn’t come home, or that my mom didn’t see them.”

For the unversed, after leading a few projects, Harman Baweja eventually decided to quit the industry after the release of his 2014 release, Dishkiyaoon. However, he has impressed many with his performance in the recently released show, Scoop. In the Hansal Mehta directorial web show, Harman plays the role of JCP Harshvardhan Shroff.  

Speaking of quitting showbiz, Harman explained, “I quit because effectively, things didn’t pan out the way they initially (appeared).” He further added, “Today, the same family who avoided reading papers is now looking forward to the next article on me.”
